This particular box features the original oak stain and mark on the front reading  "Patented 1889

circa 1920s-40s or so

It is signed on the bottom with what looks like "SJ" and is in great vintage condition

Currie Monoprint with Mixed Media of Three Figures in White vintage Black Forest animal carving 3 1/8" t x 1It seems likely that this haunting work is a Holocaust portrayal, with these three emaciated looking figures emerging from a dense crowd shrouded in darkness, though it certainly speaks poignantly to existential themes and persecution more broadly. I have searched but not found anything about John. A Currie, who signed the mat to which the piece is taped from behind. It appears to be a mono print with details of hair, hands and faces are intensely
